Six characters and the Sahara: The past, present and future of a population without land who are still waiting, still asking, that their plight be heard. This documentary tells the story of one day in Smara, a refugee camp in the city of Tinduf. This refugee camp has been in existence for more than twenty years in the desert. Sahara was a Spanish colony until the army left when the population was attacked by Morocco and Mauritania.  The population escaped through the desert to seek refuge in the inhospitable territory, ceded by Algeria. The reality now is the continuation of a population exiled from their land, now occupied by Morocco. A handmade symbolic token is used as a narrative element, taking us through the lives of six characters and the reality of the situation in the refugee camp of Sahara. Without interviews, the characters, in voice over, tell us their personal stories and struggles in order to build an intimate portrait.
