The Secrets of Treasure Islands:The Treasure of Tahiti

The Treasure of Tahiti
24:09 | 1990

Categories: Documentary, History

The islands of the South Pacific—this is the image we have of Treasure Islands. In 1889, author Robert Louis Stevenson went to live in Tahiti, after he had written what turned out to be one of the most popular books ever written. The novel is a grim tale because Stevenson aimed to provide a moral message: digging for pirate gold will only bring misery to the treasure hunter.

A nice summation for this series. Explaining the different motives for treasure seeking. The dreams that stories of it inspire and the pleasure they give, a mysterious and intriguing adventure! Thank you Snagfilms!
